Artist Background
Whitelotus’s inspiration and originality is rooted in its individual nature. Jewellery designer, Edina Racz, creates handcrafted pieces using unusual combinations of semi-precious gemstones, classic sterling silver and other rare stones from around the world.
The design and production of Edina’s jewellery happen in her luminous studio located in Toronto, Canada. The imagination behind the collection moves across oceans, deserts, and on into other times. Edina’s seemingly bottomless spring of inspiration is fed by architecture, patterns, sea life, sacred geometry, and the mission to mingle the rigid with the sensual, the fabricated with the organic. She describes the creation of each piece as "a bit of a search, an open experiment—my raw materials inspire and often dictate the final design. It seems I only help them to get there." The end result unites Edina's worldly influences with ethereal pieces that she says, "a woman can wear and work with rather than them wearing her."
The Goods: Ethereal, abstract pieces composed of gemstones, exotic woods, pearls and silver.
